Strauss - Ein Heldenleben - Reduction for Solo Violin & Piano

This is my first serious engraving project.  The intent of this reduction is to give violinists, especially those who want to audition as Concertmaster, an opportunity to practice or demonstrate a frequently-called solo passage with piano accompaniment, so that it can be heard with approximate harmonic rhythm, and without recruiting an orchestra.  This work can also be found on IMSLP.


Ragnarok - Periphery

This is an orchestration of the song Ragnarok by Periphery.  This was my final project in my first orchestration class at BU, and I chose to orchestrate this song because it had changes in character that were most amenable to sound effective in the orchestra, among most of Periphery's other work.


Overture on the Litany Against Fear

This is my final project from my second orchestration class as BU, and it is an original composition.
It's based entirely on the first encounter of the original Dune novel, where the prince Paul is tested by a Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother.   This piece leans significantly more on extended techniques, non-traditional sounds, and an approach that is closer to film-scoring.
